Morgan Hayes is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City. Her work revolves around scenario building and retelling of the queer Black experience. She also makes pieces about pop culture and its role as an accessible account of history. She’s inspired by the South, tricksters, doomscrolls, and collective joy and/or mourning. Her practice ranges from video, podcasting, photography and rug making to maintaining social media accounts for a performative alter ego. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia.
